Rising Nations is a non profit program designed to allow people in poor countries sell products to people in rich countries. The profits are used to educate more people to be able to create more products to sell to more people in rich countries.
Haiti desperately needs investment in health, education and infrastructure. While an enormous amount of money has been pledged by various nations and other organisations to Haiti following the earthquake, there is very little evidence of sustainable programs that could enable Haiti to grow its way out of poverty without external assistance. The best way for Haiti, or any other developing nation, to grow out of poverty is to become a net exporter then carefully spend the net inflows on education, health and infrastructure. In order to become an exporter a nation’s people will need to develop the skills required to create something that is in demand by the international community and create it with sufficient quality and at low enough cost to result in actual sales to buyers in the International market.
Rising Nations was conceived to address this challenge. Initially, Rising Nations will assist people in developing nations to sell products to people in wealthier nations then it will use the profits to educate more people in the developing nation to be able to create more products that can be exported. The net result is a sustainable programme that can be scaled to any level and assist a developing nation to grow its way out of poverty.
Rising Nations will start with Haiti and specifically assist with the export of art. Over time the program will grow to include many other many other products from many other countries.
